Auris Central Front Arm Rest

Hi,

I recently found out that the arm rest is a very good thing to have in my car. However, it does not bing it installed.

Toyota sells a part that you must install above the existing “thing” (because it is not an armrest…), however, it’s expensive and its design is not attractive.

I found out 2 solutions, however, one does not seem very nice, and the other does not seem to solve the problem.

They are:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-AURIS-Sliding...7#ht_2517wt_908

http://www.woodcompany.com/toyotapage.htm

Can anyone suggest any alternative to these 2 items and to Toyota original parts?

Best regards,

Best regards,

I would suggest that you look into the "Armster" brand of arm-rest, which has been advertised in the autoexpress, and zsoc blub members had a bulk buy on, at discount. They are custom designed for many cars, and are of high quality, costing ~£78. They can be found on eBay, as can an Italian brand, with thicker padding on top.. The AD. in Autoexpress, was by "gbdriver" website, and simpler ones are also available, but I really like the "Armster", with its sliding top, and opening featore, with anti-rattle mat in the storage chamber, and the whole item can hinge out out of the way of the centre console, when needed, e.g. during town driving, if it gets in the way.

I would 'phone the company to get further info re. your car's suitability. (delivery in ~3 days).

Armster don't do one yet for the Auris, but they invite enquiries, as they are always adding to their product-range. (I have been on their website, and also that of a retailer, www.gbdriver.co.uk)
