Help With Engine Managment Light

engine managment came on not long ago and was woundering if anyone noes a easy way to turn the light off with out any diagnostics

It's better to get the code read to see what has caused the light to come on, you could cause damage to your engine if you continue to run the car without knowing what the problem is. Look at this thread...

...and see if there is a member near you who can read the code for you, failing that you can buy a code reader from eBay for around £25+.

If you still just want to turn the light off you can disconnect the Battery for a few minutes, this will reset the ECU and turn the light off, if you have a problem which requires attention the light will soon come back on. The problem could be something very simple or it could be something more serious... you need the code read.

agreed, best to have a diag to find the fault cud b lamber sensor or summit easy like that, u can have the light switched off at most garages but chances are it will come back again after a few starts have you removed the cat or anything lately? ifnt the cat cud b braking down causing the lambas to read icorrectly, have u noticed anythin with how the car performans, missfireing?
