I was in the local Toyota dealers the other day and decided to have a look at the new Verso, have to say the updates didn't make me want to dash out and replace my existing car. However, whilst I was there I had a look at the new Prius and couldn't help noticing that the car seemed very long.

When I got home I had a check of the spec sheets and it seems the Prius is longer than a Verso. The car lengths (in mm) compare as below:

Gen III Prius 4460

New Verso 4440

Gen II Prius 4450

Old Verso 4370

Avensis 4695

So if you have a short garage and the choice of a Prius or Verso, the Verso will fit with up to 90mm less length.

Yes - Verso is not a huge car unlike some normal saloons eg Rover 75 - my previous car was 4750mm, so I actually went to an MPV which was shorter but much more versatile ( due to the height ).
