Can anyone give me some advise here...

I've got a 2004 Hilux 240ex (2wd) with 41k on the clock, and I was driving home last night when all of a sudden I couldn't change gear. The clutch felt a little heavier than normal, but the gear lever wouldn't budge. With a lot of force I just managed to change gear a couple of times but limped home in 2nd. :(

When I got home despite pressing the cltuch pedal the engine was on the verge of stalling and the clutch was smelling very bad!

Although the clutch was smelling it seemed to be pulling ok, it didn't sound like it was slipping.

Any ideas, surely the clutch hasn't gone already, it's not used for towing. :o It's off to the garage on Monday so I just wanted some opinions first!

Many thanks,

Trevor.
