04' D4d Heater (cold When Idling ?)

Hi all.

Problem with our 04' Verso D4D T-Spirit when warming up from cold...

Driving along is fine, heater nice & warm after a mile or two, but when pulling up at lights / stopping in traffic the heater goes cold; then goes warm again when moving along. Not sure if the same happens when engine has been running for a good while, haven't noticed it hence pointing it out as happening during warm-up.

Any ideas ?

Sounds like a bad thermostat. I dislike cars without a proper temperature gauge for this very reason. You need to get it fixed because the engine will not run at proper temperature without it & that affects what the way the injection system behaves & so fuel consumption etc.
