Hello my fellow islander!

I know of a good alloy wheel website which have a great range of brands, sizes, colours etc, called Performance Alloys. They will phone you up and make sure that you are ordering a wheel that has the right amount of wheel nuts etc, and that you aren't ordering something that's going to rub.

Quite a few guys and gals on here have put 17s on their Yarii, and I know that you have to get the correct tyre size and wheel width for there to be no problems.

Hopefully someone will come to your aid in the next few days, but until then, have a look at that website.

Am planning to put some 16s with lower profile tyres on mine, but can't decide whether I can justify it at the moment - my wheels suit the car, but am always up for a change!

Take care buddy

Paul

dont go to Halfords! total ripoff merchants!

try eBay, theres a shop on there that sells 17's for as cheap as 550 for a set of four with tyres (its a proper shop, not private sales)

now for the techy!

17's will go on easily with std suspension and no lwering altho you may catch slightly if you hit a pothole hard.

lower 30mm or more and you are looking at arch mods due to the width of the tyres

mines lowered 60mm on koni shocks aswell and ive had to modify most of the arches the front dirtsheilds, bumper mounts and the back bumper still requires some attention to finalise it now

anymore help you know where i am, or ask dan or nash who are also riding on 17's aswell as a few others who dont spring to mind at the mo!

cheers guys for the help, will 17"s look silly on the car if i dont lower it as i dont really want to start messing with the arches?

cooperman66 - IMO i think it will look silly as the Yaris is already a high car but with 17's it would be as high as a monster truck!!! Each 2 there own tho!!!

Jaxx - wots the score with ur car? U say u have Koni shocks and have TTE springs (i think) but don't u get the springs with the shocks? This sounds a bit daft but i'm not the most clued up on suspension!!!

Cheers

yeah tte springs and koni shocks, obviously bought separate from one another

tte springs are only -30 drop but konis are much shorter than OE shocks and pull it down another 30!
