Rav 4 Wheels

Nowthen I have a set of 17" alloy wheels with really good (about 7mm) ordinary, regular and by no means run flat 225/65R17 Bridgestone tyres.

The genuine Toyota wheels with hub cap centres as pictured are in good condition and will suite the following options;

4.2 owners. If your 16" alloys are bubbled or you want to upgrade from steel wheels. These wheels not only look the part but will not have any significant effect on your speedo. There was a 4.2 Granite special edition with 17" wheels so no problems there.

T180 owners. Free yourself of the TGB Bridgestone fiasco and revert to the standard set-up. They are the same rolling radius as the 18" RFTs and the same wheel is on the US RAVs with V6 engine and they seem to handle OK!!! You can buy bog standard Bridgestones for these wheels (when thay are eventually needed) for about £115 fitted and balanced. We can get around the TPMS warning light issue as other T180 owners have done.

Finally, there are XTR owners who want to carry a spare wheel. What could be better than a matching genuine one (some of the very last XTRs had a slightly different design but still compatible).

I am looking for £125 each and may deliver or meet depending on the distance. If there are any questions, fire away.........

Here is a sample :drool:

I am a brand new member, 24 hours old. I joined specifically to ask you whether these wheels are still for sale. I am picking up exactly the same car as you have on Wednesday an as I live in the Scottish Highlands I want a spare set of wheels to put winter tyres on.

Hi Nodrog

Welcome to the club.

I'm afraid I sold the last of the wheels today but they pop up on eBay from time to time.

All the best with your new RAV and be sure to look in on the RAV section where you will find lots of useful banter and a fair amount of useless banter too!

All the best and thanks for the enquiry.

Hi,

Sorry to hear your wheels have all gone! Good for you right enough, I would have wanted all four so it was a bit of a long shot in any event. I will just revert to plan B and buy a cheap new set of alloys and Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme tyres. It will cost a bit to start but will pay for it's self in safety and longer overall tyre wear.

Pick up the Rav4 on Wednesday, just the same as yours I believe = XT4 2.2D4D '07 on a "56" plate done 38k so just run in. Quite excited now! It is coming from a very reputable dealer, although not Toyota, and I am fairly sure it will be thoroughly checked over but is there anything I should be looking for myself except the visually obvious? I am not a mechanic, I belong to the brigade who "worked" on cars when they had distributors, carburettors and dynamo.s, then that era passed.

I have never belonged to a Forum before but I did enjoy this one and found lots of interesting issues being resolved. Don't know that I will have much useful input but I will certainly continue to read the posts.

Thanks for your reply and have a good New Year.

Gordon.
