Dice Interface For Ipod

I've just been given one of these to fit to my 04 XT3 D-4D. Does anyone have experience of fitting this product? I'd like to be able to mount my iPod out of sight if possible - this particular piece of kit also has an Aux input which I would like to be able to use eventually.

Any ideas/instructions regarding the fitting and location of all the bits would be much appreciated. I've looked at Anchormans excellent posting regarding this - but it's for a XT4 and everything looks a little different. Any official Toyota instructions anywhere out there for this mod? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with this kit but the instructions for taking the radio out are the same on yours as they are on mine. If you need to know about any other trim, let me know.

Thanks for this Anchorman! Still raining very heavily here so will have to postpone this for a while. Thought I might try to route this set up to the cubby below the steering wheel - looks like the easiest place to access an iPod unless I get a mount for it.

I asked a local stereo specialist to fit mine - he couldn't make it work and thought the 'black box' was at fault. I sent it back and was given a replacement without any fuss. Shortly after that my cam belt snapped and as some of you will know it took 3 months to get the car back!

Anyway the car is back now and the replacement Dice is sitting waiting to be installed and as soon as I get a chance I'll have a go at it my self.

The post that was placed by Anchorman(below) is really helpful and explains what to do in detail.

I'm just concerned now that as you have not managed to make your unit work it could be a compatibility issue. Where did you purchase your unit from? Could you get some advice from the seller?
