..... I don't own a Toyota - the RAV belongs to the missus, but as I get to do all the messy, oily, knuckle-skinning stuff it's up to me to join forums (fora?) to get the inside knowledge. So here I am, found this place while looking for info on the handbrake setup - so many springs and little fussy bits that fall out of their own accord (and then get trapped between the shoes and the drum so giving her a funny noise to complain about - out come the tools again!).

Vehicle is a 2004 RAV4 XT3, 2.0 VVT with a slushbox which the wife loves (and I don't but can live with), it's her runabout and gets proper exercise when the c*r*v*n gets nailed on the back every now and then. If you're anywhere near the home of Peter Pan, look out for a blue RAV piloted by a redhead (her) or a balding bloke who looks like he'd rather be on his bike (me), and give us a wave!
