Hi,

Just bought my first ever Toyota, It's a 2002 1.8 vvti SR, can someone tell me what the SR stands for?. Also while I'm on, should I be looking for any perticular faults, it run's very well and is very quite.

Any comments would be welcome.

I thought Toyota new how to build cars!!!!

They did, then in around 2000 they started to forget.

Main thing is watch the oil level daily, 1.8 VVTi's are notorious for burning oil and needing the engines replacing. Later ones arn't quite as bad but some people who had them replaced under warranty ended up having the replacements replaced so it was never really cured.

SR stands for Sport Refinements.
