Replacement Bulbs

My Toyota RAV 4 registered 2006. I think the lighting is poor, there are replacement bulbs out there (and plenty of WEB sites selling), that claim to be much brighter, any advice please, also do they give off more heat, and if so would this damage the plastic light. Many thanks.

Hi Richard,

On recommendation of Anchorman (and he from Local Hero), I have recently fitted Autobulbs Direct upgraded xenon DIPPED beam bulbs to McRavvity.

Got to say these upgraded H11 bulbs have made a big difference and do what they and Anchs say on the tin. (Note they are H11 ON MY RAV, presume the same on your 2006er).

Whilst typing this, postie has just delivered pair of HB3 upgraded 65 watt MAIN BEAM bulbs, which will probably be overkill in honesty, but I am just trying to light up some of the zillions of potholes on the outskirts of Glasgow......now I know how many holes it takes to fill The Albert Hall.)

Will report on findings with main beam bulbs.

Regards,

Big Kev.
