Has anyone used the TOM'S throttle response improver (yes I know the name sounds very technical)

Obviously at GBP300 plus postage (to Australia) I would like to know a bit more about it before investing

When you open the box guess what's inside - four resistors soldered into a PCB. Toyal cost of manufacture for someone handy with a soldering iron should come to no more than around £5 on a bad day. My advice is to keep you money and exercise your right foot a bit more - that should even out the throttle response.:)
