Does anyone know of anyone who has one for sale or as an alternative has anyone bought recon and what was your experience?

Help me out here - i need my Celica back on the road!!!!

did you fry the whole engine as you can possibly find out what needs replacing. there are a couple of companies on eBay selling recons.

Dont get a Recon engine from eBay mate they are totally crap, i am rebuilding a guys car that had 1 in and ive also had to pull a recon engine out of another car that had 1 in and replace it with a 2001 engine out of a damaged car, Ring around the scrap yards and look for a damaged with low miles on it ;)
