Indicator And Wiper Stalks

Does anyone know if there is a replacement option for the 3rd Generation wiper and indicator stalks to get them round the correct 'UK' way? I was wondering if a 4Runner uses the same stalks but round the right way - and of so what year 4runner would I need to look out for to match with my 1997 Surf?

Fed up of flashing people instead of washing the screen and indicating rather than wiping the screen!

(and no I can't get used to it, I drive to many cars all the time so am always getting muddled up!)

I've not heard of a replacement for them, you may find the 4runner stalks fit but I'm not sure if they're the opposite way round to what you've already got.

Failing that, turn your existing stalk round 180 degrees,only problem there is they'll be working upside down

OR just get used to them as they are. I have a Surf and had to get used to it,got it down to a fine art. It's only when I go out in my Vitara it sometime gets confusing

The US model 4runners have the indicators/ wiper switch on the other side to the Japanese Surfs.

You will want a 1996 model onwards.

Note: I don't know if the wiring block is the same or some re-wiring will be needed.
