Hiya guys, any chance of some help, my motor has these symptoms.

Wheel wobble between 70 and 80 ish

Front two tires have a perfect balance!!

Worse when there is a slight turn on the wheel

Can occasionally feel a pulse when braking very hard or very soft.

I need to get this sorted ASAP, ie next two days.

I am stumped.....but hoping it may just be the tracking, could it be???? I want to be clued up a bit when I take it to the garage in the morning, so I know what to expect!

Cheers guys

Two seperate problems by the sound of it mate,

Wheel Wobble :

If you can" drive through" the vibration - dissapears at 85ish - then its a balance problem.Get the wheels balanced "on-car",cures it every time!

Or you can swap the wheels front to rear - but the rears may be slightly out of balance - so you wont gain anything.

Pulsing when Braking:

After the snow and road salt we have had,you may have a sticking brake caliper - pull the brake pads out and check the pistons are returning ok and the caliper slides are ok.

It may be excessive disk run - out causing the pulsing - you will need them skimmed or replaced.

Hope this helps you.

I'm still thinking its the wheel bearings. U can check it by yourself:

Raise the wheel till you can rotate it freely.

If at the moment U rotate it start to feel some imperfections or that the wheel gets stuck, its very probable bearings problem

Or if the wheel has axial movement ( like forcing to steer from the wheel) and it seems that something loose, its bearings mate.

Hope this helps

it could b ur drive train. the transaxel is prob missing a tooth or a tooth is slightly worn down.

this usually happenes in fwd when u doing bunrouts, esspecially when doing burnout while turning.

its quite expesive to fix. i had the prob on my 89 rolla and i just left it. now my bro has the car and when u doing u turns it makes a clicking sound where the tooth is missing. heheh

hi

for what its worth I agree with Mick24 do high speed balancing

that works every time for me

also are you sure that you do not have a flat spot on the tires

that also might cause the problem and would explain the braking

problem as well

Sometimes core or threads split inside of tires. maybe switch the back to the front and drive it a little to see if that fixes it. If it does, just get a couple new tires for the front.

Thats what I am doing tommorow!!!!, I am really quite gutted as I am getting 'something' new on my car tommorrow (its at the sprayshop as we speak B) ), wont be able to enjoy the motor to the full tho.

I am also going to try taking all locking nuts off and use the proper nuts, someone suggested this may help. at the mo I am willing to try anything that doesnt cost!!

Cheers for the advice
