Hand Brake On Signal For Dvd Head Unit

Hi,

I have an Auris and have now done 900 miles so time for a tweak.

I thought an in-dash sat-nav would be the thing to go for and was thinking of a Pioneer, Kenwood or JVC.

I went for the JVC KW-NT1 as it can play my music from a SDHC card.

I followed the instructions on this forum which now seem to have vanished or been archived off?

All okay except I have the green wire from the JVC which needs the hand brake on signal to be legal.

I used the Connects2 kit for sterring wheel control intergration which works but would rather not have to tear the rest of the dash out to get to the hand brake.

Any ideas please..

You can just connect it to the GROUND cable of the radio itself, remove a bit of sleave and connect, usually the black cable but look to your manual for the right colour.

Hi Morlock,

just picked up your thread, I am having issues with my Speakers and was thinking of upgrading, I then read your thread and would like to know;

a) did you fit the unit yourself and was it easy or awkward?

Have you noticed an improvement in the sound quality especially when driving on motorways etc?

Best wishes

Paul
