First Genii Fuel Up For Me

The flashing reserve light works, so a now rare trip to the petrol station.

Fuelly showing about 47mpg, which, given the low temps recently and short urban school run is

using exactly half the petrol that the Volvo did.

Resetting the mpg, with a warm engine and flat urban roads, the meter hit 59.5mpg after a few miles.

Should have hit 60mpg but the wife decided to race a white van man at a set of lights :crybaby:

So there's nothing wrong with the car, just short school run (<2mile) from cold that kills economy relative to other Prius.

I'm probably a worst case scenario with our short urban trips.

Hey I thought I was winning in the worse case scenario for short urban trips! You're right about the warm up cycle killing fuel economy figures, but at least it's an accurate reflection on total economy. We could all reset the economy guage before a long run to get it to show 65mpg after 50 miles but it's the total figure that counts. I also find that sitting in my car with the heating on between jobs causes the engine to keep firing on and off. It really knackers the fuel economy but keeps my fat a*** warm

Glad you're still enjoying the car and remember 47mpg round town is still blumming marvelous.
