What Is The 0-60/top End On A Rev 2 Turbo

as per the title.. what would i be looking at?

my aim is to get 1992/1993 Turbo imported from Japan...on stock with no mods what is the 0-60 time and the top end once you have got rid of the speed limiter..?

As in the title.. did do a search for 0-60 but came up with nothing...

Imnot 100% but Im pretty sure a STOCK Gen II quotes around a 6.2 0-100 kph, and Im pretty sure there geared for 255 kph...or at least the Gen III is :)

Dunno about the NA but Im 99% sure the turbo was in the low 6's. I'll see If Ican find something online.

From what I can find it say's 0-60 mph in 6.4 secs, 0-100 kph in 5.9 secs. Isn't 60 mph the same as 100 kph??

for the 1991 NA version:

0-60 time: 8.5 seconds

1/4 mile: 16.3 seconds at 84 mph

0-60 is less than 8.5 for a rev1 n/a mate.

It's around 7.7 or 7.9 ( can't remember ) . I have a magazine with the rev1 review in it ( very old mag ) it states all the figures etc.

Mainly because there are US/UK/ & japanese versions...that's why Im finding conflicting info.

In 1989 when the 1st SW20 Turbo came out in Japan it was the FASTEST car they did....0-100 was DEFINITLY in the 6's. Anyway your 1st mod makes it change heaps...I know people with the 0-100 kph in the mid 4 secs!!

Rev1/2 0-60 = 5.7

Rev3/4/5 0-60 = 5.28

The NA rev1,2s im sure are 7.2sec and the rev3/4/5 is 7.7

The readings of 6.2 and 5.9 your getting are from the US spec mr2 Turbo (200bhp).

My R3 was 0-60 timed by a test driver when about 3 years old... peaked at 5.1 seconds on the 3rd run.

As for top end according to the workshop manuals it will max out at 158mph, although I never tested the theory I've done 140 in mine and the turbo still wants to kick.
