Audio - Rear Speakers

I've noticed that if I set the audio balance to just the rear Speakers the sound is really, really low - there is very little sound coming from the rear. Is this the same for everyone or have I got some type of fault? I should say the sound when you have the balance centred is excellent.

Also this morning had people in the back for the first time and had some strange scraping noises which then stopped - hope it was ice melting/dropping off

I'll be honest, I thought the stereo was set up pretty spot on when I picked up the car and have never bothered playing with the left/right, front/back balance. :P

The lad is in the back most of the time and even though he's pretty light (until he want's me to carry him :help::lol: ), I've never noticed any scraping noises.

My Gen 2 Prius had a squeak that only happened with people in the back - turned out to be the rear seat belt rubbing against its guide.

The rubbing noise hasn't come back - I suspect it was ice.

Anyone tried their rear Speakers at all? Thanks

Tried them this afternoon. Yes they're quite quiet, but that's from me sitting in the front, so what I'd expect.

Not as loud as the front Speakers when sitting in the driver's seat, but perfectly adequate.

The rear Speakers are very quiet and the front very loud. To get some kind of a balance, i have the fade at -4.

Also, when the ASL kicks in, the front bass gets very boomy so I have the bass level on -2 to try and tame it.

Would be nice to have some kind of graphic eq and some contouring so the (eq changes as the volume increases and decreases). The FM radio reception is a bit weak too (compared to my previous car).
