New Cts Owner Needs Help

Hello,

I have recently bought a 02 Reg Corolla T Sport from a salvage auction, the damage was not too bad, and i have had it repaired, but i have a problem.

The car has been left standing since the crash, which was in October, i need to change the Engine oil and the gearbox oil (had to replace driveshaft)

I need to know what grade of oil i should use in the engine and gearbox, and also how many litres of oil needs to be put in the gearbox. I haven't got an owners manual, so i don't know what i can do, can any1 help??

Also, do all dealers sell the TTE lowering springs? And how much do they cost??

phone toyota and ask them about the oil

from memory the springs are about £200? possibly £300, not sure... all toyota dealers CAN get them in stock, but not all will have them in.

I phoned my local dealer about the oil, they were not much help, couldn't tell me, i have ordered an owners manual, but that will take more than a week to arrive, and i need to sort it out asap.

they couldn't tell you?!?! shoddy customer service.

well, I don't think you'll be waiting a week to find out m8, there's plenty of CTS owners on here and one of them will be able to tell you what oil it is you need and how much to use

just keep checking back here every hour or so, posting now and then to bump it up to make sure people see it.

things usually kick off about 5 or 6pm, that's when people are getting back from work and logging on to pass the time here, it also gets going again about 9-10pm for answers and stuff.

0w-40w for engine should be good

And gearbox oil capacity is 2,3litres.

Oil type:gear oil api gl-4 or gl-5

Recommended oil viscosity is sae 75w-90

Just one more question, does the CTS take Dot 3 or Dot 4 brake fluid?
