A student mate of mine is interested in running one of the above games consoles, without risking '25 hot dates' with the same or different girl(s) (i.e doesn't want to keep a TV in the digs).

Does anyone know what would be required to hook these upto a monitor, and whether any cabling comes as standard.

He cannot use a TV tuner of any sort.

Thanks

the Xbox comes with a cable with the composite conectors .. (and a composite to Scart dongle) .. I think there are VGA cables available .. or maybe a TV in card ..

I got a logitech VGA box to connect my consoles upto the monitor with, but the quality of picture is pap. The quality of pic when simply using the PC is also pap. Looks like some serious signal noise/loss somewhere. Maybe the VGA box uses a poor quality monitor extension cable thing ?

All the same... don't use it cos it's cack quality.

depends on which ones u buy jim. most of the products out there rn't "true" VGA signal adaptors. I got one of lik-sang a while back and hte quality is amazing, when it actually works with games!

Some games just hav a prob w. them so come out wrong.

Havent followed the VGA xbox thing for a while but i rem pixel8 was coding some stuff up, pretty sure u can get his vga bios to flash, and its even inc. in the latest bios's etc.

I also rem he had probs with green screen.
