hi, does anyone know where the fuse for backup lights is located in Avensis T22 (1997-2000)? Both lights don't work, the bulbs are ok. There is nothing in the manual about this fuse. why is that?

hi,

i don't know why your answer dissappeared, but thanks it was very helpful. though i still could not find the right fuse, but checked the reverse light switch on top of the gearbox. it's on but has very high resistance, so this could be possibly the reason (?). i'm going to replace it to see if lights work again.

Hi,

According to the toyota electric wiring manual for T22 (page 290) it is the 10A fuse guage that goes to the back-up lights. It is located in the instrumentpanel fusebox.

The Toyota manual is somewhere at internet. I don't remember where I found it.

If you have a/t A6-A5 & B2-B8 will be closed with lever in R.

If you have m/t 2-1 closet with lever in R.

I hope this helped you.
