Handbook / Service Book And Spare Key

Hi, As i purchased my Aygo from a salvage company (17,800 miles Cat D repaired) i have no handbook/service book/wallet and also only have 1 remote keyfob. Is there any way i can check to see if my car had a service at 10,000 miles (is it possible for a toyota main dealer to check for me as i am very close to Lindops in Queensferry) and i would like to purchase the complete wallet containing hand/service book etc etc also i would like a 2nd key anyone know how much this is likely to cost. I have actually written of to the previous owner in Cambridgeshire asking her about if she still has the wallet and spare key and also the service history , i know its a long shot but hopefully will hear something soon....Colin

Hi Mate, welcome to the ToC :)

The Aygo comes with one remote key [and on standard key] from new. Having the remote is better than the standard. You can either buy a remote or a standard key. Remote key costs circa £120'ish (bought and then coded to the car which only your Dealer can do) - but I got as low as £99 (all inc.) when shopping around. So do your homework!

As for the other stuff, they are just books, so yes you should be able to buy them from Dealer or eBay.

I don't know how Toyota record service history for their cars - no harm in calling Toyota directly or your local Dealer :)

history of the vehicle. Because we'd bought the Aygo from them, they did this

with no charge.

I believe the information SHOULD be available, but you may have to pay for it.

Hi all when i got my aygo my dealer gave me a second key for absolute ziltch zero after i told him that there was no way i was buying i car without 2 keys etc etc as for service history prehaps if the prevoius owner could tell you personally i woundt buy a car without knowing its full service history

It is a chance i have had to take as i could not afford a new car and buying a Cat D i managed to get a few thousand of the book price for a car which is repaired 100%. I have sent the old owner a letter (as i bought the car from a well recommended salvage company) asking her about servicing etc etc so hopefully will hear something after Christmas, The aygo has only done 17,800 miles so just interested to see if it had its 1st 10,000 mile service, as for the key i will just keep an ear open and see whats the best price i can get quoted ...Cheers Colin

If you know which dealer the AYGO was originally bought from they should have a record on their system if it was serviced with them (most likely place it will have been serviced at). Proof of ownership should allow them to release this information.

Sorry should have replied to this thread as i found out the information needed a few days after i bought the car. Tha car was bought originally from Marshalls in Peterborugh, so i contacted them and they had no record of the 10,000 mile service being done there. The guy i spoke to was really helpful and cause i gave him the vin number he checked the service database and found the car had its 10,000 mile service done at Rrg Salford quays (see below). So i have contacted the dealership in Salford quays and asked them if i buy the handbook / service book from them can they stamp it for me , i have had no reply yet though.....Regards Colin
