Interior Trim ... Assistance Please

Recommended Posts

Posted

Greetings,

Have started the mammoth task of 'tidying up' my recent purchase (MR2 Mk2 Rev1 import) ... and before I jump in with my usual gusto, I thought I ought to check with those more knowledgeable than me on this one !

The car is fitted with a Sigma M30 Thatcham approved Cat 1 alarm and has an additional keypad which the bright spark who fitted the system decided to glue to the inside of the windscreen, about halfway up the A post (passenger side).

Now, the glue has failed and the keypad dangles from the wiring which has obviously been run up from under the dash, and then behind the interior trim on the A post. I think I should relocate the keypad to a more sensible position and before I 'rip off' the interior trim on the A post and damage it I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to remove this piece of trim without damaging it for refitting after I move the wiring ?!?!?

Many thanks in anticipation of the usual high standard of response.
