Ss3 Horsepower Results With Fuelstar And Magnets

Okay all you guys that gave me S#@t about the magnets and fuelstar.

I dont have dyno results but I talked a friend of mine into buying a 97 GT4 which is stock at 255hp and he has a performance pipe. so prob. running at 258 hp

He assured me his car was in a 'different league' from mine and much faster with the turbo. I took it for a drive and wasnt so sure.

We've had 2 races up to 170 k and have been neck and neck. From this I can work out his power to curb weight ratio. 258/1350kg = 0.191 and my hp which is

218 / 1143 = 0.19

I have shaved 27 kg off my weight and th eonly mods I have done are removing the cat and adding a K&N Panel Filter.

Has each vehicle been weighed. Has each vehicle been independently tested for available bhp output at the wheels. Have both vehicles got identical transmision types and exactly the same wheels and tyres. Just to many variations to make any significant conclusions. Better still bhp makes no significant effect on acceleration it all down to torque and when it is available across the rpm range. Also knowing when to change gear will make a big difference. Ideally this is when the engine is producing its maximum torque which usually well before it reaches it rev limit. Many people seem to think that by taking the engine to its maximum rpm they are gaining when in effect in most cases they are in effect losing that vital thing known as torque.:)

If it was from a standing start the GT4 would slaughter you off the line, and I doubt very much that you would catch it over a 1/4 mile.

i still call bull****...

Dont you understand power to weight ratios?

The GT4's curb weight is 180kg heavier than the SS3. 1350 kg compared to 1170kg

The GT4 wet weight is prob. heavier still as it has water in the turbo cooler or whatever that thing is

and prob more oil in gearbox.

Its a second quicker off the start with 4wd as I seem to sit there spinning for a sec.

Can see where your coming from with the power to weight and all that but if your a second slower off the line you won't catch the GT4, ok your 180kg lighter but he's around 50bhp more so that cancels it out really.

i fitted the magnets to my rolla and couldnt believe the results, i raced a bugatti vayron and left it for dead i only raced upto 220mph but i have taken all my rear interior out and rear seats dont no how much weight its lost and havnt done the curb weight ratio on both cars lol

I didn't read the thread about magnets and that before I started posting in this thread.

Why oh why did I spend alot of money on an upgraded ecu when a couple magnets would have given me the same improvement  Still il know for next time :D

I have thought about a supercharger, but I dont want to increase my compression as its already 11:1. Ive done 13 differewnt things to my car..all to increase engine efficiency and hopefully to make it last longer by running cooler. We havent raced from a standing start..of course he would beat me...but I caught him up all through second gear.

[/Well I was changing gear at redline, I know he wasnt taking it quite that far. Both cars are stock except Ive done cat, filter box etc.]

Theres no point for him to go to the redline as his max torque isnt at the top of the revs
