Hi

I have a 1998 avensis. I took it for MOT last week and it failed on rear anti-roll D bushes being warn out and allowing excessive movement.

I believe I can replace them however I am having trouble identifying them. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can avoid the high garage costs. Note that I tried to check on the manual but no luck. What is the best way of carrying out this job?

The anti roll bar is the bar, about 1/2" diameter, which links the suspension on both sides, connected to the suspension by a "drop link" on either side.

You will see the "D" bushes on either side.

Replacement is relatively easy but you will have to lower the subframe somewhat.

Bushes themselves are cheap, less than €10 each.
