3s-ge Head Gasket Replacement

My head gasket has gone on my st182 celica. It is losing oil down the end/back of the block. Has anyone else had to change one? Mines only done 60k miles.

I am considering having a go at it myself, rather than getting it done by a dealer. Does anyone have any advice?

I had a 1989 gen 4 celica with a similar problem it was only a slight leak and never got any worse even after another 80,000 miles, just bought a 1993 with 72,000 geniune miles and it has the same problem (one small oil spot on the garage floor), I might just leave it again ? :help:

Is this common al all 3SGE engines?

Exact same problem on my 1990 ST182. Done 107K but has been leaking since 82K just needs a top up now and then, does not loose any power from it, as proved by a quick rolling road session
