Alarm Key Pad

I have a 1993 Celica gti with a factory fitted alarm, my key pad is playing up, tried the main dealer and they want £72.00 for a replacement !! can u get these anywhere else? how much? also when setting the alarm (which also works the central locking) there is no notification (beeps or flashes) that it has worked, is this normal?
