I have a driver on my black cab who was out on Sat night, at midnight the Alternator packed up, we are on fleet cover with the RAC so phoned them, now we have an RAC card complete with my reg No + expiry date March 2010 but guess what, we are not covered, however we can pay £98 for recovery + then claim it back when the problem is resolved, great, how long for a recovery truck? 2 1/2 to 3hrs, my driver has no heater its minus 4dgrs, so he parks it somewhere safe + gets a cab home.. Sun morning go out in the Rav Jumpstart the cab + using no electrics + it cutting out 5 times manage to get it to a garage, Then do 100 miles in the rav trying to get an alternator, On a Sunday no chance, Monday off in the Rav manage to get fixed up with alternator cabs back on the road :yahoo: Arrive home, my neighbours wife comes over, her husband has put £50 of unleaded in their Chrysler Sebring diesel  He has been waiting for Chrysler recovery 5 1/2 hrs on Tescos forecourt they tell him they will need to get him into the dealers, remove tank, cleanout fuel pump + there is no chance of it being on the road for Christmas the resulting bill could be £xxxx, So the point of all this I found a Co called Dr fuel who came out to him syphoned all the fuel out flushed all the lines thru + the car is now mobile + good as new..total cost with a couple of galls of diesel £170 now not cheap but could have been a 4 figure repair bill.. Hope you never need them, but the number for Dr Fuels very proffesional service (nationwide) is 0800-917-7033  Stew Ps My rav has been a little treasure thruout all this saga, performing 8 jumpstarts + 150 miles of slogging around Manchester in the worst weather i have known, I decided to treat it + took it thru a handwash, The Freelander in front got stuck on the Ice :D I gave him a :toot: as i went past..
