ug...got caught in the bad weather and spent 5 hours driving thru snow and gritted roads. Got up this morning and on the bonnet there is a 5 inch mark that looks as if petrol was poured on to it or even some type of acid !!! Wont come off and sems to be deeply embedded. Any clues what it might be? and am i covered by warranty...car is one year old.

If some sort of acid had been poured on it why would that be covered by warranty?

Warranty is there for manufacturing defects, and if something has been spilt or poured onto it then you will have to pay I'm afraid

Best course of action is to take it into your dealers bodyshop for a quick look, it might be something that can be buffed out without too much trouble and re-polished

Kingo
