I tink it is de regae RAV from Trinidad maan..............

Just kidding! Welcome to the club. They are not prone to wheel bearings but without hearing the noise it is difficult to be specific about the cause. They are prone to corrosion of the disc which picks the pads up on each rotation but if you jusk it up, prize the pads clear of the disc then rock it back and forth while pulling back on the tyre you should feel if the bearing is rough.

The manual shows that you replace the hub but I'd be very surprised if the bearing isn't available seperately from a decent motor factor.

hi thanks for the reply that was going to be my next plan of action but still got a load of snow round these parts and dont want to jack up and crawl around in about 5 inches of snow and ice so will have to wait for now ,rear discs have got corrosion on and are slightly noisey on application but where deemed ok at toyota service and mot ,only other thing with car is a heavy clutch pedal operation ok and bite ok but heavy to press, car has 53000 on and had a clutch and flywheel in at about 34000 in 2006, we bought car last year and has been a good little car and been going very well in the snow we have had round these parts (lake district!

Im with Anchorman on this one. My previous RAV4.2 had a "wo wo wo" style noise after being parked up for 3 weeks last Autumn, and it was simply down to some excess corrosion on the disc. Some hard braking soon cleared it up !!!

In fact, when I first purchased my current RAV4.3, it also had a similar noise from the discs, but cleared itself after a while. My understanding is that the vehicle had been at the garage for a month before the sale.
