On New Years Eve, a full Moon & a partial eclipse

The odds against that must have been Astronomical, pun intended Seriously, it must be an extremely rare occurrence. I only saw it coz my Daughter rang me & I dashed out to have a look. I just caught the end of it. It was also most unusual, coz when anything is going on in the Heavens, it is usually overcast & we can't see it.

Did anyone else see it ?

I wonder what evil omens for the year ahead that portends :lol2:

Dad, Alex and myself saw it, driving on the M62 to Hull.

The moon was uber bright with a little section missing from the bottom right side. Was very lovely to see.

Twas a special moment!
