As there will still be remaining warranty on the car, you will be covered for any problems, just make sure you get it thoroughly checked before the warranty expires.

There have been several call-backs on the SR180, these include checking the nearside drive shaft, replacing a bush in the steering column, and getting the ECU flashed, which I think was to do with the emmissions?

If you check the VOSA site there was also a call back for a very small number of vehicles for a brake problem, but all owners would now have been contacted by Toyota.

They are a good all round work horse, but can suffer from high fuel consumption, just have a good look at the back threads and make your own mind up.

Try to buy a very early SR180 as these are really T180's with SR180 body kit hence they have the best spec as the latest SR180's dont have most of the spec of the T180

what is the main differences between the t180 and sr180? apart from the body kit?

1. rear spoiler but these can be bought from Toyota all painted for £220

2. keyless entry (some SR180 had this)

3. auto tint rear view mirror and auto wipers (some SR180 had this)

4. tilt slide sunroof

5. I think an SR180 is 5mm lower than a T180

6. SR180 has rear tints as standard

All the very early SR180 had the above as they was a T180 with body kit, if you expect around 45mpg on a run and 38mpg local in the summer and approx 10mpg lower in the freezing weather like now than you will be very happy with the Auris SR180. Here is a few pictures of our T180 I paid £100 for the rear tints and £200 for the spoiler the rest come with the car apart for the Genuine Toyota door sills, alloy pedals (not in the pictures), wind deflectors (changed these since the pictures where taken) and my footwell lights I added but have now changed to amber to match the dash.

If they are fresh yes

I left mine on but removed the toyota and auris badges as it was a massive clutter and it was a nightmare, even with hair drier. I used white spirit in the end, heat and elbow grease.
