Difference In Aygo Lowering Springs?

Recommended Posts

Ok guys

whats the difference between the Diesel Lowering Springs and the Petrol Lowering springs?

Im thinking its due to the engine weight so the Diesel Springs are heavier?

Are the shocks the same on both variations??

Hi,

I don’t know exact details, but there must be a fair weight difference between the diesel and petrol engines...

The diesel is a standard 4 cylinder pug/Citroen engine...and will weigh a ton.

The petrol is one of the lightest 3 cylinder car engines around that’s massed produced.

The diesel lowering springs will be slightly tougher to allow for that extra weight.

If the weights were the same, then i doubt they would make two different versions of spring.

I'm guessing the shocks will be the same, as their job is dampening the "bounce" springs give...its the spring that gives the suspension.

If you fitted diesel lowering springs to a petrol car...then it would properly be the same height as a petrol on standard petrol springs.

alreet mate, on eBay sum lowering springs can be used on both deisel and petrol. so i dont think their is no different between the two. i was looking earlier on eBay for a set for my car (1.0 Petrol) and notice you can use em for either

Hope this was sum help.

...and if you fitted petrol springs to a diesel car, it would be really low, and the life of the springs would be less (broken springs)
