Ahhhh, Make It Go Away :(

i was cleaning the inside of the car today when i must have pressed a few buttons ... when i looked at the little rectangular screen it was showing different information from before because i have installed an after market headunit the screen used to only show the time and temperature, however now it shows me my average mpg as well its only a small petty thing but it's doing my head in as it wont go away i checked the yaris manual on how to get rid of it and tried that however it didn't work for some reason?

does anyone else have any idea's on how i could get rid of the average mpg or had the same problem before ?

Try turning the radio on and off.

My early Yaris puts the programme channel on the screen while it is playing, and then leaves it clear when the radio is turned off.

To restore the average speed, consumption etc. requires multiple presses of the trip button on the dash.

you can't turn the radio on and off as it isn't wired up due to having the after market headunit installed.

just push the Fm button tht should put it back to its original setting.
