Yaris T-sport Using Oil Like Petrol Please Help Me!

Hello Guys. My G/F bought a Yaris T-sport from Batley. It has 70 k on the clock & seems to be all in good condition.

The only problem is it guzzles Oil & is costing a fortune. Not a drop is leaking in the engine or sump we have bright white flags on the drive.

The exaust fumes are totally clear so no obvious burning going on. We used to put in fully synthetic 5w 40 but now I'm adding 10w 40.

When you brake hard or turn a corner the oil light flickers very slightly but never stays on constent.

The orange plastic dip stick always seems dry & I don't trust the readings to be accurate. Do you think there is some major engine ware & that's why it's doing it or the piston rings have lost there seal? I want to get on top of this problem asap before something bad happens. Might be a trip to the garage to see if they can find anything.

Thanks & Happy New Year!!

T Sports shouldn’t use a drop of oil if it’s been serviced regularly and properly. Mine never moved between services. It may have been neglected by previous owners, from what you describe it doesn’t sound healthy :(
