I was driving home today and got dripped on from above and found that it was coming from my interior light! I remember reading on here that someone had a similar problem and it was found to be coming from the arial. But I got home and checked and it seems like its not the ariel its coming from.

Anyway, I popped out the interior light and dried it off, and when I stuck my hand in the hole it was pretty wet in there, but it seems to be just condensation.

I managed to stick my camera in and take a picture. As you can see from the attachment its incredibly detailed.

I thought it might be condensation due to having about half a foot of snow on my roof, and it being warm inside. Or is it a leak?

What do you guys think??

Looks more like condensation to me, but it seems odd that this would leak into the car. Maybe it is down to the madness that is the snow. Hope someone else can give a better answer than me!!

My first guess would be condensation too...

Especially as it's separate drops, a leak would be a couple of big drops with trails between them.

The black thing is probably the lead for the antenna, this slips to the side, then down the righthandside A-pillar.

The headliner is stuck to the roof for most part, but in front

it isn't, so they could form the "bulge" the domelight sits in.

Judging from the dispersion and size of the droplets in your picture I'd say it's definately condensation, especially as the drops seem to get smaller towards the edges.

I've had quite large droplets (1mm or so) form on the centre consol of my Aygo overnight in the past before I had the door seals replaced.

Of course this means there must be a source of moisture in the car to start with, but I think outside air humidity plus a damp driver breathing out warm moist air would account for that.

Cheers for the replys guys! Ive left the interior light out for now in the hope that some air can get into the roof and clear the condesation :)

its a very good chance that its your arile, it seeps through the seal, along the head lining and through your interior light. iv replaced about 10 of them this winter and if your car is under warranty, its included. even get a new interior lamp

Seems there is a few Aygos out there with large amount of condensation over the inside of the roof panel.

Had one last week, water was dripping from the plastic trims above the rear windows (3 door model).

Turned out to be the condensation from inside of the roof - covered in it!
