Water Pump = New Cambelt?

Hello, new member here.

We have taken our car into the local garage to fix a coolant leek and also a Battery problem - they have come back to use saying that the water pump has broken, and so that needs replacing - they also say that the water has got into the cambelt and so this will need replacing as well (it was only 6 weeks ago that we had a cambelt change with another garage!) we also need a new alternator as they say the leek has broken that too.

Would anyone have a rough idea of what we should be paying for these repairs? Can we ask the garage to use used parts or reconditioned parts - or will they refuse?

Welcome to TOC, pity its not in better circumstances. Could you add more details of your Rav, ie year and wether diesel or petrol etc.

It makes it easier for the more techy guys on here to give an opinion on your problem.
