HI guys...

Is it true...the best way to test whether your clutch needs replacing is by carrying out the follwing test:

With the handbrake up...put it in 2nd gear...and try moving off...if it moves foward without over revving and its not slipping (ie high revs but no movement)...then the clutch is fine??????

Please let me know if this true....and if there are any other self clutch tests out there. Thanks guys!

Hi, yes that is about right but only try it for a couple of seconds of you could burn the clutch out, it will only try to move forward if the handbrake is any good.

Regards Pete.
