Welcome mate, The red button just unlocks the safety device for your lever when the ign is off to allow you to shift the car into neutral etc.

Hi, I also have a 91 GTR and was also wondering what that little red button was for but was to afraid to push it just in case I blew up my beloved car.

Hey, these things can happen.!!!!!!! :P

When I first got my car and also asked this question, I got the following helpful answers:-

a. Ejector seat.

b. Machine guns

c. "Just accelerate up to 100MPH and press it to see what happens" :D

d. Self distruct.
