Modded Rav: Base Model Upgradable To.......?

Hello,

I bought the bog standard base model 2006 Rav4, was looking at ways of improving it, not pimping it, just adding things that come with the top of the range.

So, fog lights now installed, NOT changing it to auto A/C as, personally I don't think it 's worth it to rip out the dash.

Can I add Auto light? Auto door lock? With ease? Is that possible, read some where its just a relay? is that correct?

Any one else want to show off the "Mods" they have done ?

I wouldn't want to make you cry at the extent of the mods to one of my RAVs :lol:

You can do anything to a car - it goes as far as the amount of money you want to spend!

U have pics/instructions, fog lights were cheap, and not "too" hard to install. Something mentioned that it's only a relay to be out in for auto door lock and so ur lights come on automatically.

What Bothy means is..... one of his RAV's will make a Cosworth cry and send shivers down the spine of Subaru owners....once they catch him up....I think even Porsche owners cant sleep :P :P :P

Also a member called Hoovie seems more upto pimping his RAV up.... done some nice touches....Leather, DVD/SAT Nav, rear camera...bumper, twin pipes....to name some.....

I would say lots of my pimping was really up-speccing, adding features that I could have had if I bought a higher spec to start with. So in hindsight, personally speaking, I would have been better off buying a higher spec to start with.

Anyways, some ideas of what you could add to your base spec?

Cruise Control? Pretty simple mod to add an electronic drive-by-wire system 

Leather?  Could get aftermarket leather for a reasonable cost and to your own style & spec

wot about a toyota 3sgte 670bhp powerhouse slotted in for good effect?? Compares well to the standard 130-160bhp !!
