Folks,

Does anyone have any experience of the chinese toyota-specifc replacement dvd/gps head units that you can get on eBay, i.e. this sort of thing: Rav4 DVD/GPS Unit

I'm curious as to if they're any good, what problems people have had, success stories etc.

Not actually tried one, but they do look well speced, They run on windows CE to so you could put TomTom on it, along with any other programs you fancy.

As for how reliable they are, I have no idea.

Aha, cheers! Very helpful. Although I'm still confused by the plethora of units and suppliers.

I think I'm going to get something from autodvdgps. I'll document my experience :)
