The Daft "shift" Light...

I'd like a way to turn this daft indicator off...

When I'm doing 70 in 5th at about 3000rpm, it tells me I need to change down. Really? Then I can be chugging away at far too few revs for a gear, with the engine really struggling, and it doesn't tell me to change up. I may be missing something vital here, but it really doesn't seem that valuable an addition to the instruments!

It is only an advisory indicator.............................Nothing should replace the skill and experience of the driver!

When driving Anne's it flashed to change down while doing 60 and going up a very slight incline, I noticed the mpg read out said 35mpg before shifting down then 23mpg after shifting down......That's real economy isn't it?

Yeah I have noticed this too, I thought it was a fault and was going to take it back to the garage to have it looked at - seems not...
