Rear Brake Pads And Discs

Howdy all, I am just about to replace the rear Pad's and discs on the rear of my T180, I have read somewhere that a 'special' tool is required to ind the rear pistons back in? Is this true? as if i can find out before strip down then all the better! Cheers Jon
