Speakers For My Avensis

HI peoples,

I was thinking of upgrading my car stereo....and so i thought i might aswell upgrade my car Speakers too to enjoy the benefits...may be 3 way 280watts to make it worthwhile! My question is does anyone know the correct size of speaker i need to buy? And is it difficult to remove the front and back door panels? Also i heard the standard Speakers are actually RIVETTED on, If is true how do i work around this??? Im used to bolting Speakers on! Please help guys...or should i just leave the standard speakers as they are??? By the way i have 2001 1.8 vvti Avensis SR. Thanks.

From removing the rear door panel to inspect the window mechanism I can tell you that it's not difficult to remove the cover and the speaker is indeed riveted on. It should be easy to drill it out, though. Sorry I can't help you with the rest but it is covered in other postings - will be worthwile to search this forum.

It's 14 cm / 5.5 inches in diameter.
