Parrot Kit Problem

Hi guys

Ive had a Parrot mki9200 kit installed at Halfords today

The technician says he cant get the stereo to mute out, he said it wont mute out the front Speakers. He tried swapping some cables around but still no luck.

Hes used the correct iso cable according to parrot I think SOT 911.

He said he would call parrot on monday to see whether hes missed anything out,but I thought I would ask on here incase anyone has had this problem with this kit or another handsfree kit and there is a simple soloution.

My car is Nov 2005 T4 with JBL Speakers.

hahaha i thought that before, but I had my last kit an ioplay fitted to my 3series and it went smoothly in one hour. Today it took just over 2hours

Halfords TV adverts are always good for a laugh. the one where they check the kids bike before he rides it away, who in their right mind would let them touch your childs bike.

lol I will admit that most of their staff have even less knowledge of cars than a supermarket checkout lady even though they seem to know it all, but their installer seems to have really good knowledge of auto electrics. It seems this topic is turning into a Halfords slagging topic lol.

I remember ringing up Halfrauds to see how much they would charge to fit a CD headunit into my old Honda Civic. They wanted something stupid like £80 fo the job! After reading some articles about it and a good nights sleep I decided to do it myself. Did the job in 10 minutes and saved a fortunte too!

Never ever go to halfrauds! Plenty more eager and helpful companies out there willing to do the job or supply you with parts!

I thought there are only a couple of block connectors and a mute lead?

Has he tried a different set of leads?

Im not sure

The problem seems to be with muting out the prius audio system when a call comes in.

Im hoping its not a case of tough luck with the prius. Ill keep you updated
