Unusual Wheel Rub New Tyres

Ive had 205 60 16 tyres installed onto my prius.

I checked with a local toyota garage whether the size would be ok without rubbing and the technician assured me it would be ok, also people on the priuschat forum said it should be fine as some of them have got 205 55 16.

So when driving alone I can drive as hard and fast without any rub.

It seems as soon as someone is in the front of the car, the front left tyre will rub slightly. I had a slight rub when parking up, but this was traced to a loose bit of trim which was soon sorted.

Now my problem is when hitting a pot hole at over about 20mph there is a slight rub on the front left side when ever someone else is in the front.

There doesnt seem to be any problems with the back, but im surprised as im maybe 35% heavier than the passenger and I dont get rub on the right side?

Its a bit tricky to see where the rub is with the car on the ramp as when the car isnt compressed on its suspension you cant really tell.

Any ideas guys? could it be the left shock or something is just a little softer or has a slight leak?

Or are the tyres just too big?

Im apprehensive to take it into a dealer as they might say your warranty is void etc with them on.

Thanks guys
