Toyota (gazoo) Shows Supercharged Iq 1.3 In Tokyo

The Tokyo Auto Salon is going on at the moment and Toyota seems to have had a bit of a rush of blood to the head demonstrating several sports concept cars along with tuning arm Gazoo Racing. There is a supercharger for the 1.3 iQ, could it go into production?

I think Toyota top brass might finally be doing something about the old fogey image, but it might only be the JDM which gets these cars.

Gazoo prepared the race LFAs. I thought TRD was the US operation, or are they in Japan as well?

Is that the new one or is that just the mainly-chassis-tuned 1.0 special which Toyota sold in Japan? I think they made 100 and sold them through dealers.

This one at the Auto Salon now seems to have sprouted a supercharger on top of the 1.3 engine.

Either way, it's great to see them tuning the small car.
