so im thinking about buying a rav 4 diesel but i can only afford a quite high mileage model (roundabout 80,000) Ive been looking around here to find out if there are any common problems to look out for and its made me a little unsure as to wether i ought to or not.Im a bit concerned about the number of people posting problems with their ravs cutting out on them and ending up with huge bills to fix and also i know most cars have them these days but the DMF problems have got me quite concerned so should i or shouldnt I ?

Just have a good look and as long as there are no problems don't worry. If you are not confident ask a mechanic to go with you or the AA or take out a warranty.

Some have got very high mileages and had no problems.
