Undertray Service Flap Comes Loose And Eventually Broke...

To add to previous concerns...

The service flap of the engine undertray (used to access the oil filter) has become completely loose, and dragging on the road... the dealers found out that the plastic hinge has finally broken also, so the repair was to remove it completely as a temporary repair... ntil i can get it to the dealer to have a new undertray fitted, hopefully, as I now have an opening there that will allow water splash into the engine bay and perhaps affect components in that area, accelerate corrosion of parts in this exposed area etc...

Looking at it it also seems that the undetray has lost a few of those flimsy plastic clips that hold it to the body, allowing for extra flex, which probably contributes to the fatigue failure of the service flap...
